Reddit Tool Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 23, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the “Too Big To Fail Podcast Bot” (the “App”) handles data. The App is a Reddit Devvit application designed exclusively to automate the posting of new podcast episodes from a public RSS feed to a specific subreddit.
2. Data Collection and Usage
The App is designed with privacy in mind and operates with minimal data footprint:
- No Personal Data: The App does not collect, store, process, or share any personal data from Reddit users.
- No User Tracking: The App does not track user behavior, interactions, or IP addresses.
- State Management: The App utilizes Reddit’s built-in Devvit Redis database solely to store the URL (link) of the most recently posted podcast episode. This is done strictly to prevent duplicate posts. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
3. External Services (HTTP Fetch)
The App makes outbound HTTP requests to the following approved external domain:
feeds.acast.com: The App fetches the public XML RSS feed from Acast to check for new podcast episodes. No user data is sent during this request.
4. Reddit Permissions
The App requires the following permissions to function on Reddit:
- Submit Posts: To create new discussion threads for podcast episodes on the designated subreddit.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new “Last Updated” date.
6. Contact
